Energy Sector: MoE Union Minister inspected pipe production factory

Union Minister for Energy U Myo Myint Oo together with the officials inspected the HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) production factory of Authentic Production Co., Ltd. and the works undertaking of the Applied Research Department (Htaukkyant) of Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise in Mingaladon Township in the morning on June 3.

At the HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) production factory of Authentic Production Co., Ltd, the Union Minister heard the clarification of the Managing Director about the production process of pipes, various types of pipes manufactured with variety of raw materials including water pipe, low pressure gas pipe, liquefied petroleum gas, withstanding qualities of the pipes as per the pressure, methods of pipe fittings and various types of pipes manufactured.

In responding to the clarification, the Union Minister inquired the status of utilizations of the High Density Polyethylene. Next, the Union Minister viewed the pipes and pipe fittings, demonstration of pipe connection, testing the withstanding quality of the pipe to the pressure and the production process in the factory.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister and party heard the clarifications of Managing Director and officials on the research works of the research divisions, implementation of laboratories to facilitate the oil explorations, storing Core Samples obtained from oil wells and work implementations.

Upon the clarifications, the Union Minister stressed the need to conduct research training courses for new-generation staff, share techniques and upgrade the Applied Research Department in order to assist seismic measuring processes for oil exploration. He also inspected the labs and Core Samples in the warehouses.
