Emergency teams worked through the night on Ibiza to clear floodwater from airport access roads, underground car parks, and residential areas, a day after torrential rains disrupted travel on the island for the second time in two weeks. The heavy rainfall, driven by Storm Alice, flooded the airport and submerged roads, causing dozens of flight cancellations and delays.

Passengers were left stranded as water seeped into the airport terminal, soaking luggage on conveyor belts and flooding corridors. Authorities deployed crews to pump out water and restore access, while local services continued to assess damage and ensure safety for residents and visitors.
