Eliminating Online Frauds: 84 illegal immigrants detained on February 27

The government is making strenuous efforts to eliminate telecom fraud and unlawful acts in collaboration with the international organizations. The illegal foreign nationals who involved in these unlawful acts are being exposed and deported to their respective countries in line with the laws and procedures.

On 27th February, 84 Indonesians were deported to the concerned nation via Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge (2) in line with the law and procedures.

The Government is investigating to those who involved in online scam and online gambling in collaboration with neighbouring countries and international organizations, especially through the trilateral cooperation among Myanmar, China and Thailand. Plans are underway to deport trafficked victims to their respective countries.
