Elephant Fance: Festival Is Not Held In Kyaukse But Entertainments Performed

The elephant dance festival is annually held in Kyaukse of Mandalay region every 14th waxing day of Thadingyut.

This year, the elephant dance festival can’t be held in Kyaukse as this time is COVID-19 containment period.

But, the elephant dance entertainments have been perfomed.
With the aims to preserve traditional custom, people from Kyaukse have organized elephant dance entertainments in line with the intructions of COVID-19 prevention of MoHS, an official from Shwe Ooe elephant dance troupe said.
