Electricity supply: Electricity supply launched in Sittwe Township

The members of State Administration Council Daw Aye Nu Sein, Pado Mann Nyein Maung, U Maung Har, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, Commander of West Command Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo accompanied by state ministers and officials arrived at WaBo Village in Sittwe in the afternoon on February 4 and attended the opening ceremony of electricity supply from national grid to WaBo Village together with the locals.

At the ceremony, member of State Administration Council Daw Aye Nu Sein gave opening remark and state chief minister addressed. Next, the deputy chief electrical engineer of Rakhine State clarified the work implementations. Then, the SAC members, state chief minister, commander and officials opened transformer to supply electricity to WaBo Village by cutting ceremonial ribbon.

Next, they viewed the cottage weaving workshops in the village and the village elders presented gifts. Afterward, SAC members looked the bridge construction project of Sittwe-Wabo creek crossing bridge which is 480 feet long and the officials concerned from Bridge Special Unit (7) of Bridge Department Construction (2) under the Ministry of Construction explained the matters regarding bridge construction.
