Electricity restored in Mrauk-U: Students and local residents being happy and delightful

The Ma-J Gen. Thaung Htike Shwe who is overseeing the rehabilitation tasks in Mrauk-U Township inspected Mrauk-U electricity supply substation to restore electricity in Mrauk-U at 100% targeted to complete on 23rd June and coordinated necessary matters in the morning on 23rd June.

Due to the landfall of cyclonic storm in Rakhine State, the electricity lamp-posts in Sittwe, Ponnagyun, Kyauktaw, Mrauk-U, Minbya, Myaypon, Pauktaw and Rathetaung Townships fell and damaged and the storm blacked out those townships.

To restore electricity supply, the skillful personnel from the Ministry of Electric Power and the personnel serving in the offices of electric power in Rakhine State repaired and reconstructed electric lamp-posts collectively round the clock.

Thanks to such collaboration of the respective officials, departments and the skillful personnel in electric power, as of 11:23 Am on June 23rd, Mrauk-U and neighboring villages have accessed electricity supply at 100% and the students, business entrepreneurs and local residents are being happy and delighted.
