The main objectives and goals of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy are to ensure the nation’s energy sufficiency, support long-term economic development, and improve the living standards of the public by providing stable and accessible electricity supply, it’s learnt.

U Kyi Myint, Region Hluttaw Rep. (Hmawbi Township) said "The main focus is to improve the current situation regarding electricity. Although it is said that work is carried out based on the union budget, if you actually assess the ground reality, there are many areas that are truly lacking in capacity. To be able to address these issues according to priority levels, we will consult and coordinate with the engineers from the Ministry of Electricity and the Hmawbi Township to carry out the necessary actions."

At present, across the country, the new government is implementing necessary projects under its 100-day plan to ensure that the public can fully access and use electricity.

U Lin Lin Tun, Township Electrical Engineer, Hmawbi Township said “In Hmawbi Township, under the 100-day project plan set by the State, one 200 KVA transformer, 700 feet of 11KV overhead power line, and 1,000 feet of 400-volt power line were planned for Pyay Road and Thayet Taw Road. Field inspections and implementation work began on 21 April 2026, and the proposal was submitted on 22 April 2026. Approval was granted on 5 May 2026, and under the 100-day project plan, one 11/6.6/0.4 KV 200 KVA transformer, 700 feet of 11KV overhead power line, and 1,000 feet of 400-volt power line were completed on 20 May 2026.”

The key point is that when departments and Hluttaw Representative conduct field visits for regional development during this 100-day plan, public cooperation is essential. For the time being, the great cooperation from the people has been seen and the efforts bring the fruitful results, it’s reported.
