Electric Power Sector: Union Minister makes inspections in Bago

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun inspected electricity distribution in Bago Township after floods and electricity distribution from the 230 KV Ka Mar Nat Power Plant.

During the inspections, the Union Minister heard reports and said that in order to meet the demand for electricity, plans are being made to expand and build power generation, and the Ministry is also working to transport more of the produced electricity. Efforts are being made to reduce power loss and improve the stability of the power system.It is necessary to collect electricity fees.

There, the Union Minister also held talks with staff and provided cash assistance and foodstuffs. And, at the 500 KV Pha Yar Gyi power plant construction site near the Mile Post No. 39 on the Yangon-Mandalay Road and heard reports.

In his response, the Union Minister said that this power plant is an important project in the electricity transmission sector of the country and it is necessary to complete the work on time and to ensure that the quality of work is met. And, the Union Minister inspected installation of transformers, Shunt Reactor and Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear and completion of Control Building construction.
