Electric Power: MOEP Union Minister meets staff in Kachin State

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun accompanied by concerned officials attended the consultation meeting at the Kachin State Electric Engineer Office in Myitkyina on 8th January.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister underscored the current work implementations to reduce power outages in townships. Stressing on systematic electricity bill collection and prevention of illegal power consumption, the Union Minister urged the relevant officers and staff to fulfill their duties in line with the civil servant ethnical values, serving the interest of the nation and people.

The Union Minister also instructed on cleanliness and  systematic power usage of the staff housings and arrangements for fire safety. Next, the State Electric Engineer clarified current power distribution within the state, tasks being carried out to prevent power failures and outages, bill collection and bill arrears reduction and the resettlement of displaced staff. Upon reports, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions and presented cash awards for the staff.
