Electric Power Distribution: Sub-stations in Nay Pyi Taw inspected

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun on Saturday inspected the Pyinmana and Naypyitaw-2 main power sub-stations which are transmitting electricity to Nay Pyi Taw Council area through the 230 KV power line.

During the inspection, information about sub-station, the status of power generation capacity, merged power transmitted by the power plants and distribution were reported by officials concerned. Upon the reports, the Union Minister gave instruction that being the main power substations, it needs to be prioritized to prevent power outages.

He highlighted that sub-stations are connected to the national grid, and systematic implementation is needed for power distribution with stable and full voltage, mitigation of power outages and line losses, regular maintenance for long-term sustainability and electrical safety as well as transformers, switchgear and other electrical equipment maintenance.

Then, he coordinated the needs and inspected the status on power control and distribution at power control room and switch yard.
