Electric Power development: MoEP Union Minister inspected work implementations

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun with Deputy Minister U Aye Kyaw inspected work implementations of Shwe Myo main substation under the Department of Power Transmission and System Control and the offices of directors in No (1) Construction station Paung Laung base camp under the department of hydro Power implementation in the morning on 16th September.

At the Shwe Myo main substation in Tatkione Township, the Union Minister heard the reports on the status of Power transmission and loads on the transformers and the extending Construction of Shwe Myo-Yamethin 230/66/11 KV (100) MVA transformer by the In-charge of Substation and Deputy Director General of Department of Power Transmission and System Control. In responding to the reports, the Union Minister gave necessary instruction and inspected Construction work of extended Power transformer.

At the No (1) Construction station Paung Laung compound, Director of Design Branch clarified testing of upper Kyaing Taung Hydropower Project spillway Hydraulic Model and the Union Minister and party inspected the status of Labyrinth Spillway Hydraulic Model Test and practical water releasing test and the test with samples of the soil, cement, Pozzolan, sand, pebble, iron bars and concrete and machinery operated test run with the sample materials.

Then the Union Minister also inspected the heavy machinery and the tools and equipment for the repairing of them. Then, the Union Minister visited Hydroelectric Power development training school, met with the personnel, heard the reported by the Deputy Director General of Department of Hydropower implementation supplemented by the Director General U Hein Htet.

Upon the reports and clarifications, the Union Minister gave necessary instruction and provided cash assistance and foodstuffs for the personnel.
