Electoral Matters: UEC member meets with officials in Tanintharyi Region

Union Election Commission member U Ko Ko Lwin met with Tahintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko and concerned officials for successful holding of the multi-party democratic general election to be held in 2025 at Region Government Office in Dawei on 26th December.

The Commission member explained that the elections will be held in 2025  and the e-ID demographic data provided by the Central Committee on Supervising Ground Census Enumeration has been added to the Sever for validating the voter list. He urged to provide comprehensive assistance to the election commissions.

The Chief Minister assured that the Regional Government will assist in the necessary matters after the briefing. The Commission later held a meeting with the officials and staff of the departments in Tanintharyi Region.

During the meeting, the Commission member stressed the needs to plan and carry out the necessary preparations for 2025 Election.

After that, the election officer from the Regional Election Sub-Commission office and attendees reported on the work undertakings and the procedures to be carried out.  The Commission member gave necessary instructions.
