Electoral cooperation: UEC Chairman leaves for Russia

At the invitation of the Chairman of Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Union Election Commission Chairman U Thein Soe and party departed for Moscow, Russia via Yangon on Wednesday evening to sign MoU between the Russia Central Election Commission and the UEC and to study regional election.

The UEC can promote electoral cooperation of the two countries by signing MoU with the Central Election Commission of Russia and studying regional election. Through the visit, Myanmar delegation can study electoral system of Russia, holding election, voting processes and ballot counting. The trip of Myanmar delegation will last 6 to 12 September.
