Electoral Affairs: UEC members observe Thailand Senate Selection

Members of the Union Election Commission (UEC) U Myint Oo and U Khin Maung Oo who observed the Thailand Senate Selection from 24 to 27 June at the invitation of the Secretary-General of the Election Commission of Thailand arrived back in Yangon.

During the observation visit, the UEC members attended the ceremony to explain the rules and election offences at the Asawin Grand Convention Hotel on 25 June. On 26 June, they observed the selection process of the National Senate Representatives held at the IMPACT Forum Convention Centre and had the opportunity to exchange views with officials from various organizations.
