Election matter: UEC Chairman received Ambassador of Thailand

The Chairman of the Union Election Commission U Ko Ko received H. E. Mr. Mongkol Visitstump, Thailand Ambassador to Myanmar at the UEC office in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on Tuesday.

At the meeting, Ambassador of Thailand inquired the status of preparations of UEC to hold the Election, implementations regarding with the political parties, status of providing assistance by Thailand for holding Election, bilateral cooperation for the development and the status of keeping collaboration.

The UEC Chairman explained the implementation regarding with the Election law and by-laws to hold the Election successfully, status of permitting rights of establishment of political parties and scrutinizing process, constant implementation for the correct and complete voters list, status of carrying out for voting with Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine etc.

Then, the status for cooperation with Thai Election Commission in the Election matters and bilateral cooperation for the development were cordially discussed.
