The Eiffel Tower lights up for peace in Paris

The Eiffel Tower in Paris has been illuminated in various colors to express solidarity and support during times of crisis. On the occasion of a peace conference bringing together Israeli and Palestinian activists at Paris City Hall, the Eiffel Tower displayed the word "Peace" at 9 p.m. on Wednesday April 16. 

A symbolic initiative launched by the municipality in support of a peace process in the region. The projection of the word "Peace" on the Eiffel Tower comes against a backdrop of renewed tensions in the Middle East. A new truce proposal has reportedly been submitted in recent days to Hamas. ​
