Egyptian casket restoration

A collaboration agreement was signed on Tuesday between the Association of Friends of the National Archaeological Museum (AMAN) and the Iberdrola Spain Foundation to carry out the restoration-conservation of an Egyptian wooden coffin that belonged to the priestess of Amun, Ruru.

This project will improve the conservation and enhancement of this important Egyptian sarcophagus, which dates from the mid-21st Dynasty, from 1070 to 945 BC.
