


Tens of thousands of people gathered to watch India’s Republic Day parade in the Indian capital showcasing the country's defence capability and cultural heritage.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sissi participated as an official guest together with Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event this year marked the anniversary of the adoption of the country’s constitution on January 26, 1950, nearly three years after it won independence from British colonial rule.
Howitzer guns, tanks, supersonic cruise missiles, anti-tank missiles and armoured personnel carriers were displayed at the parade. Stunt performers on motorbikes also joined from the presidential palace.The 90-minute parade ended with a flypast featuring 75 air force fighters, including Rafale jets, transport planes and helicopters.
