Egypt calls for Israel's complete withdrawal from all Lebanese territories

Egypt "will spare no effort" to defuse any risks of escalation in Lebanon and calls for Israel's "complete withdrawal from all Lebanese territories", says the country's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, during a visit to Lebanon after a meeting with President Joseph Aoun.

One year after a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, the Israeli army still maintains five positions in south Lebanon, with fortifications and widened access routes. The Foreign Minister expressed Egypt’s concern with Lebanon’s stability and the complete withdrawal of Israeli from all Lebanese territories and the implementation of UN Resolution 1701 in all its clauses and aspects without selectivity.
