Efforts for Tourism Development: Kachin State CM inspects roads and bridges

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, accompanied by State Ministers and departmental officials, made a field inspection for upgrading of the Upper Sangong-Lonnadam-Zia Dam  road in Putao Township to promote the regional socio economic development and food sufficiency.

During the field inspection, the Chief Minister firstly oversaw the tasks of demolishing the mountain wall and expansion of earthen road within 3.2 km at the road-section of the Upper Sangong-Lonnadam-Zia Dam road which is being implemented by the Highways Department with Union Fund.

The Upper Sangong-Lonnadam-Zia Dam road is also a route to snow-capped Mount Phonkanrazi and Phonrinrazi and upon completion, it will be beneficial for 8 villages, 382 households and 1,139 local residents through nature-based tourism.

Then, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed the scenic beauty of the Putao plain overwhelmed with sea of clouds from the SheinLeinChat Mountain View Point. Upon the reports of the official of Highways Department, the Chief Minister coordinated the needs for the timely completion of project as per the targeted year.

Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected the expansion of earthen roads and stone paving operations and box Culverts and bridge construction works, and coordinated the needs regarding the bridge construction project works reported by the relevant officials of the bridge construction team.

And, they continued inspection on the repairing tasks of temporary iron frame Bailey bridge and the construction of the new bridge and coordinated the necessary measures for timely completion within the estimated time.
