Efforts for Rural Development: Meeting on work process of 2023-2024 fiscal year

Department of Rural Road Development under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development held a meeting on the 1st 4-month work process of the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

In this meeting, Union Minister U Hla Moe stressed the importance of the rural road development for comprehensive national development and rural poverty reduction.

The department will gain more trust from the public by providing the submission of people and making field inspection and plans according to the Feasibility Study (FS) before carrying out the tasks for road and bridges.

He also urged concerned officials to carry out construction works systematically to meet the standards and procedures, and it will get more benefits for the socio-economic life of rural people.

Then, Director General of the department of rural road development reported matters related to completed tasks and future plans in 2023-2024 fiscal year.

And, the heads of the regional and states of the department reported completed works in their respective regions and states. After that, deputy minister U Myint Soe reviewed and discussed the development of rural roads construction.

Then, the permanent secretary and officials made discussions, and the Union Minister gave necessary instructions.
