Efforts for regional development: Kachin State CM inspected regional development works

The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan held meeting with the leaders of ethnic groups at Manaw residence in Sitapu Manaw ground in the morning on 10th October.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister explained the implementations of the government for the obtaining and observing of full ethnic rights and the developments in the ethnic regions, for narrowing development gap between the urban and rural areas, development of socio-economic life, improvement of ethnic literature, culture, education and health etc.

Next, the state minister for natural resources and the Minister for ethnic affairs clarified the implementations for the ethnic affairs, ethnic rights, development of ethnic literature, culture and other requirements to be fulfilled.

Then, the Chief Minister provided 3 million Kyats of cash assistance for 3 ethnic groups with one million Kyats each, 20 concrete seatings in Manaw ground and the Township development committee executive officer presented traditional gift to the Chief Minister and extended words of thanks and the Chief Minister gave a speech of conclusion.

In the evening, the Chief Minister visited Ngwe Pyaw model Village where the IDPs are resettled.

The Chief Minister inspected the Construction site of 102 houses with the State fund and gave necessary instruction. The Chief Minister also inspected 50 acres of garbage disposal area near the Village and coordinated to construct road for the entry and exit of the garbage trucks.
