Efforts for Rakhine State: Inspection of rehabilitation works in Sittwe Township

‌Chairman of the Rakhine State Disaster Management Committee Chief Minister U Htein Lin inspected clean-up works at monasteries, offered offertories to members of the Sangha, inspected dengue fever prevention activities at monasteries and schools as well as in wards of Sittwe Township and gave necessary instructions.

These activities were carried by Tatmadawmen, members of the Myanmar Police Force, departmental officials and staff and locals. He also visited the Border Ethnic Youth Development Training School and inspected completion of rehabilitation works after the extremely severe cyclonic storm ‘MOCHA’.

There, the Chief Minister also provided cash assistance and gave necessary instructions. Also, the Chief Minister also watched a friendly football match to encourage efforts for rehabilitation works after the storm ‘MOCHA’.

There, he gave a speech, calling for efforts to cooperate vigorously in regional stability and regional development activities. In this football match, the Sittwe University team beat the state-level departmental team 5-4.

And, awarding ceremony was held along with provision of sports gear to the Sittwe University and the Technological University.
