




A meeting between the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and delegations of MNDAA, TNLA and AA was held in Mongla Township of the eastern Shan State on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by SAC member Union Minister for the Union Government Office and NSPNC Chairman Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Committee Secretary Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, Committee member Lt-Gen Khin Zaw Oo (Retired), Deputy Commander of the Triangle Region Command and departmental officials, representatives of the MNTJP/MNDAA, PSLF/TNLA and ULA/AA.
At the meeting, they discussed the matters partaining to strendthening the Multiparty Democratic Political system in the country, building the Union based on Democracy and Federalism, implementing the peaceful and developed Union and building trust with ethnic armed organizations.
They also coordinated the issues related to the release of detainees, to annul the illegal association and to provide humanitarian assistance to the Mocha storm-affected people in time and smoothly. It’s reported that the two sides will hold their 2nd day meeting on the 2nd of June.
