Efforts for Peace: SAC Chairman receives EAOs representatives

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Monday received the EAOs representatives who attended the 8th anniversary celebration of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA).

The EAOs representatives were comprised of Chairman Saw Htaw Lay of the Karen National Liberation Army-KNU/ KNLA (PC), ALP Chairperson Saw Mra Yazar Lin, LDU Chairman Kyar Solomon , PNLO Chairman Khun Thurein and Patron Khun Okkar, NMSP’s CEC member Nai Banyar Lal and ABSDF Vice Chairman U Myo Win.

During the meeting at the Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw, the Senior General stressed matters including the importance of NCA, the State Administration Council’s efforts for the prosperity of the country and the abundance of food, strengthening a true and disciplined multi-party democratic system and building a union based on democracy and federalism and the need to take comprehensive action for the country's stability and regional stability.

In their parts, the EAOs representatives discussed continuous conditions on the NCA path, suggestions for further action to achieve internal peace and regional development. In his response, calling for cooperation, the Senior General stressed ‘Keep Moving Forward To Achieve Our Goal’.
