




The meeting between the National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and working group of political parties was held at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 19th June.
The meeting was attended by the Union Minister for Border Affairs Chairman of NSPNC Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Committee members, leader of the working group of political parties CEC member of USDP Dr. Aung Myat Oo and representatives of working group.
First, the Chairman of NSPNC Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and Learder of Working Group Dr. Aung Myat Oo extended words of greeting. Next, the NSPNC secretary Lt-Gen Min Naing explained the matters on the meeting.
Then, the Working Group of Political Parties proposed the points to be discuss by the working group and the NSPNC clarified the matters to be discussed by the side of Committee.
Next, the NSPNC member Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein clarified the points of common agreement for the peace and development of the Union and the points to be amended and added in the State Constitution (2008) and the political parties discussed their perspectives.
After making clarification and coordination on the proposed points of the both sides regarding with the assumed points to be amended and added in the State Constitution (2008), the first day of meeting was adjourned and the second day of the meeting will be resumed on 20th June, it’s learnt.
