Efforts for Multiparty Election : Mon State Chief Minister attends a coordination meeting

A Coordination Meeting on Multiparty Democratic General Election was held at the meeting hall of the Mon State Government office on 26th November.

Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein stressed the accuracy of eligible voters list for the the upcoming election to be free and fair. He added that knowledge sharing session and trainings on the election have been held for polling booth officers and other concerned officials in November.

He said the eligible voter list will be announced for second time from 21st November till 4th December at respective ward and village election sub-commissions and instructed the responsible officials to urge the local residents to inspect the list whether it includes their names or not.

Then, the state security and border affairs minister clarified on the security measures and the process of providing electronic voting machines. Next, the attendees made sector wise reports regarding the election and the chief minister coordinated the needs.
