Efforts for Mon State :Awarding ceremonies and Investment Committee’s meeting

Awarding ceremonies for outstanding students and Essay Contest commemorating the 101st International Cooperative Day were held at the hall of the Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training School (Mawlamyine) on 28th June.

The event was attended by Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein and many other officials. On the occasion, the State Chief Minister said this training school has been opened since 2022 and expenses of foods, accommodation and learning are provided to the students via state budget and cooperative associations in Mon State.

The program is to help those who have difficulties to join the University education due to various reasons. Outstanding students will have a chance to join the Cooperative Degree College and Cooperative and Management universities.

Then, the State Chief Minister and state ministers presented awards to the outstanding students and winners of the essay contest and cordially greeted the attendees. Next, the State Chief Minister and party viewed around the student learning in the training school and coordinated the necessary.

On the same day, Mon State Investment Committee held its coordination meeting 2/2023 and the State Chief Minister, state ministers and state investment committee members attended the meeting at the state government office. There, the State Chief Minister said Mon State is an economical hub and emphasizes are being made to conduct the long term investment by inviting investors.

According to the Mon State Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, there are 55 local and 37 foreign investments in Mon State. It’s already created 3,864 jobs. He urged all to cooperate for the development of the Investment sector in Mon State.

Then, the head of the State directorate of Investment and Company Administration clarified the investment condition in the State and investments permitted in line with the investment procedures. Next, the state ministers and committee members supplemented the discussion and the State Chief minister coordinated the necessary.
