Efforts for Kachin State: Meeting with Kachin Artists Association officials

In order to express more traditional cultural customs of the Kachin people through art and music, SAC Member Daw Dwe Bu and Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn on Wednesday held a meeting with the Kachin Artists Association officials.

In this meeting at the Kachin State Government Office, the Union Minister said now, the film, music and art industry has been revived and want to unite with ethnic groups and carry out more artistic activities.

The Union Minister also pledged to support the artistic activities of Kachin people through the state-owned media, MRTV. And, the Kachin Artists Association officials made discussions on the needs for cooperation with the Ministry of Information.

The meeting ended with the SAC Member Daw Dwe Bu and Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, coordinating matters including current activities of the Kachin Artists Association and its film, video and music industry.
