Efforts for hotels and tourism industry: Union Minister visits Center for Tourism Development

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khine visited the training school of Center for Tourism Development in Yangon on Thursday and looked into the basic barkery course No.2 that is being opened under  “The Establishment of Bakery & Pastry Training Project” program of Mekong-Lancang Special Fund 2022 to develop human resources in hotels and tourism industry and to create job employment for youths.

There, officials reported on work functions of the center and opening training courses, implementations of Mekong-Lancang project, opening of basic bakery courses and organizing photo contest to mark the World Tourism Day on which the Union Minister gave necessary instructions and viewed around the winning photos of the contestants and teaching basic baking techniques and practical baking by trainees.

The basic bakery course No.1 was opened for 4 weeks from 31st July to 25th August of this year. The No.2 course is being conducted from 28 August to 22nd September of this year. Local experts are teaching basic baking practically and theoretically in order to produce 48 kind of snacks with international standard.

Later, the Union Minister proceeded to hotels and tourism training school opened at the Kandawgyi hotel and heard reports of officials on opening of vocational training courses and hotel affairs. The Union Minister then viewed around the training school and instructed the needs.
