Efforts for Development: Meeting for industries and industrial zones

Chairman of the Central Committee for Development of Industry and Industrial Zone Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win addressed the Committee’s meeting 1/2024 on Wednesday afternoon at the Ministry of Industry, the  Vice-Senior General called for efforts to establish plans for the successful implementation of industries and industrial zones in accordance with the law and by-law, to strengthen the network connection of industrial zones and to manage human resources for development of industries and industrial zones.

Established industrial zones must be upgraded and developed. A regional industrial zone construction and supervision committee must be formed. New industrial zones must be implemented in accordance with the law and by-law. The State and regional industrial zones construction and supervision committees must make inspections.

The industrial zone presented by the Magway Region Government is a small-scale industrial zone as it is less than 500 acres, and this small-scale industrial zone is to make value-added production activities based on oil crops and they need to be located in key clusters.

All need to support the needs of domestic and foreign investment activities on the one hand, the Vice Senior General added. And, attendees made discussions on proposals, history of industrial zones, law, by-law, management and strategy for development of industry and industrial zones.
