Efforts for Border Areas :Meeting on Development, Social Welfare & Vocation

The Sub-committee for Rural Area Development, Social Welfare and Vocation held its 1st meeting on Friday at the Department of Rural Development.

In this meeting, Chairman of the Sub-committee Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe said that it is necessary to carry out coordinated actions with relevant ministries related to short-term and long-term projects for development of the rural areas of the border areas, social welfare and professional development.

To narrow the development gap between border regions and interior regions, it is a must to follow the guidelines and policies of the Central Committee and cooperate with relevant work sub-committees and regional committees.

The Deputy Minister also called for efforts for development of border areas and human resource. And, work processes of departments under the Sub-committee were explained.

Members of the Committee reported on ongoing projects and plans for the fiscal year of 2024-2025.
