Efforts for agricultural development: Bago Region CM attended demonstration of rice transplanter

The Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win accompanied by the region ministers attended the demonstration of growing rice with the affordable rice transplanters purchased under the management of Bago Region Government held at Pha Ye Village-tract of Thanatpin Township and the opening ceremony of agricultural machinery operation training course in Phayagyi Town in the morning on 12th September.

First, the Chief Minister met with the farmers from Bago, Thanapin, Kawa and Waw Townships and the students from Ohn Hne Village Agricultural, Livestock Breeding and Industrial High School and explained the all-round development of agricultural sector, to gain the target rate of yielding as per the cultivated crops, transferring of cultivation methods and the region government’s contributions for the availability of short time span and high yielding pedigree seeds and provided 500,000 Kyats of cash assistance to the students.

Next, the responsible officials the Department of Agriculture and Agricultural Mechanization Department clarified how to use the affordable hand-held rice transplanter, sowing the paddy seeds and cutting the paddy seedlings from the seedbed.

And then, the demonstration of affordable hand-held rice transplanter. Afterward, the Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win attended the opening ceremony of agricultural machinery operation (special) training course held in Phayagyi Town of Bago Township and gave an opening remark.

After hearing the clarification regarding with the opening training course, the Chief Minister gave necessary instruction, cordially greeted the trainees and inspected the agricultural machinery which will be used in the training.
