






The peace talk between the State Peace Talks Team and delegations of the United Wa State Party-UWSP, the National Democratic Alliance Army-NDAA and the Shan State Progress Party-SSPP took place at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on March 22 and the State Administration Council member Union Minister at the Government Office National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC Chairman State Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae cordially greeted the peace delegations of UWSP, NDAA and SSPP.Next, the plans and matters to be discussed at the meeting were negotiated by both parties.
Also present at the talk were the the State Administration Council member Union Minister at the Government Office National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC Chairman State Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein – and NSPNC members and UWSP Vice-Chairman U Lau Yaku, NDAA Vice-Chairman U San Pae and SSPP Central Committee Member Sao Say Pai Pha.
SPTT Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and UWSP Vice-Chairman U Lau Yaku on behalf of four EAOs extended their greetings at the meeting.Then, participants made a discussion about the political needs of the groups, matters on regional development, regional stability, election matter, matter to hold the peace conference and the issues of amending the basic articles of the Constitution (2008).And the drafts were negotiated to gain the agreements according to the discussions by both parties and the first day talk was adjourned.The second day of the meeting will continue on 23rd of March and the agreements will be signed, it’s learnt.
