




Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U Khin Maung Yi, on the morning of July 8, visited the premises of the Government Technical Institute in Yamethin Township, Mandalay Region, to inspect the designated venue for the 2025 Monsoon Season Mass Tree-Planting Ceremony.
Following this, the Union Minister and officials continued to inspect various locations and preparations. In Pyawbwe Township, near mile post 314/0 along the Yangon–Mandalay Road, they observed the thriving condition of the multi-species monsoon-season plantations planted in 2025, as well as preparations for the upcoming tree-planting ceremony.
In Meiktila Township, at the Leintaw Protected Forest, they checked the multi-purpose roadside plantations planted in 2025 and the preparations for the ceremony site designated for the 2025 Monsoon Season Mass Tree-Planting. Along the Meiktila–Kyaukpadaung Road, they inspected the roadside greenery plantations planted in 2024 and multi-purpose plantations planted in 2025, all of which were found to be thriving.
At mile post 4/0 on the Kyaukpadaung–Nyaung-U Road, they assessed preparations at the designated site for the upcoming 2025 Monsoon Season Mass Tree-Planting Ceremony. Further inspections were made along the Kyaukpadaung–Nyaung-U Road, evaluating the 2024 roadside greenery plantations and the multi-purpose greenery plantations planted in 2025.
In Nyaung-U Township, at the proposed Turingtaung Protected Forest site, they inspected the Turingtaung Special Greening Project. Finally, they reviewed the preparation works at the designated site for the 2025 Monsoon Season Mass Tree-Planting Ceremony in Nyaung-U Township. During these visits, the Union Minister and officials inspected the implementation and integration of necessary activities to ensure the success of the greening efforts and tree-planting programs.
