Effective use of natural fertilizers: 39th meeting of Fertilizer Committee held

The 39th meeting of Fertilizer Committee was held at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation on Tuesday. Chairman of the Committee Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Tin Htut and committee members and fertilizer experts attended the meeting.

At the event, Deputy Minister Dr Tin Htut said that it need to use together natural fertilizer, compost and green manure without fail to be effective in using fertilizer and to maintain the soils and also to produce and use the compost in the country where there are plenty of biomass.

Fertilizer industry plays an important role in the development of agriculture sector and the MSMEs also take part in the essential role in promoting the state economy.

It will encourage for increasing investment of fertilizer manufacturers and suppliers who are operating in line with the existing rules and regulations as well as to provide assistance to those who want to establish fertilizer plants in accord with procedures.

He also discussed to find the solution with stakeholders if necessary to carry out for trading and selling of agriculture inputs by designating the zone area.

Later, secretary of the Committee Director General Dr Ye Tint Tun reported on matters to issue fertilizer registration with the recommendation of fertilizer technical team and committee members discussed matters in the respective sectors. It has been reported that a total of 10,170 fertilizer registrations have been approved until the 38th meeting of the Fertilizer Committee.
