Educative Talks: Raising awareness on prevention of cholera and Mpox diseases

Magway Region Government organized an event to raise awareness on prevention of cholera and Mpox diseases on September 10th.

Chief Minister U Tint Lwin made a speech, urging all to have cautious on personal hygiene and practice healthy lifestyle in order to avoid the infection of communication diseases. He called for collaborative efforts among the departments, health staff and people in preventive measures of those diseases.

During July and August 2024, some areas of Yangon Region and Rakhine State have saw cholera outbreak. The spread of Mpox has also seen surged in some African nations with new strain Clade 1b, along with the some neighbouring countries including Thailand, China, Laos and India.
