Educational Cooperation: Yangon University and BSUIR sign LOA

The University of Yangon and Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) signed the Letter of Agreement (LOA) on educational cooperation.

The signing ceremony took place on November 27 at the University of Yangon. Prior to the signing, session was held with the attendance of officials from University of Yangon, University of Mandalay, Mandalay University of Foreign Languages and Belarusian State University (BSU) and Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR).

Rector, BSUIR, Prof. Andrei Karol said “The Belarusian State University and Yangon University are partner universities, and we see great potential for our cooperation. We want to collaborate in areas that are relevant to our countries and, and we wish to be pioneers in the field of education by setting an example for universities in different parts of the world.”

The rectors and officials from both countries made clarifications on the salient points of the universities during the event.

Rector, BSUIR, Prof. Andrei Karol said “Our countries have many things in common, and one of them is the strive to preserve our culture and identity and to build successful nations drawing on our roots. And we always welcome representatives of other nations, whose intercultural dialogue helps them to achieve progress. Development is impossible without cooperation and dialogue. The Republic of the Union of Myanmar is our important partner, and we are proud of this.”

This signing of the Letter of Agreement aims to elevate educational cooperation among the universities between the two countries.
