Education Sector: Renovation of universities, colleges and schools

The Ministry of Education held a work coordination meeting on Friday to discuss plans for timely opening of universiteis, colleges and schools that have caused damages by the severe Mandalay earthquake.

Union Minister Dr Nyunt Pe called for participation of all concerned persons for enrollment of all-school going aged children in the upcoming academic year, while expediting the renovation and reconstruction of damaged facilities. The attendees discussed the renovation of the facilities to be readied for the school opening season, and work implementations by respective sectors.
