Education Sector: Knowledge to increase matriculation exam pass rate

Aiming to increase the matriculation exam pass rate of Bago Region for 2023-2024 Academic Year, a knowledge sharing session was held at the No. 1 Basic Education High School in Bago Township on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Bago Region Minister for Social Affairs stressed that knowledge sharing session is held under the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council. He stated that 2022 and 2023 matriculation exam pass rate of the Bago Region was 46.08% and 68.83% respectively and called for concerted efforts of the exam experts and respective subject teachers to achieve best outcome in 2023-2024 Academic Year Matriculation exam. 

All the teachers are encouraged to apply knowledge and experiences gained from knowledge sharing session in teaching students anticipating the best results in 2023-2024 Academic Year, he added. Then, rector of the Bago University made discussions and the Bago Region Education officer gave words of gratitude.

Then, the Region Minister for Social Affairs and officials cordially greeted the attendees and oversaw the discussion. It's reported that 839 high school teachers from Bago and Nyaunglaybin in districts, 25 faculty members from Bago University, 619 high school teachers from Taungu District, 21 faculty members from Taungoo University, 1,328 high school teachers from Pyay Township and 43 faculty members from Pyay University participated in the knowledge sharing session.
