Education Sector: Education Management Training Courses opened in Yangon

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe attended an opening ceremony of Education Management Training Course No. 1 at the hall of Township Education Management Training School (Yangon) in Mingaladon Township on Wednesday.

The training course is conducted for the Township Education Officers to improve management skills in taking responsible for the administration processes. In the opening remark, the Union Minister urged the departmental officers and teachers under the Ministry to make effective implementation in teaching and managing processes.

He also said that the training course was opened with the aims to enhance skills in managing and administration tasks, to produce skillful civil service personnel for the country, to follow the policies of the education by the staff, to implement administrative processes step by step without any mistakes and to accelerate for the development of education sector.

He stressed that being decision makers at the township level, the Township Education Officers need to make decisions after thorough consideration and to put efforts for achieveing success of the 51 High Schools for Industries, Agriculture and Livestock Breeding.

Then, the ceremony was concluded with providing 300 bags of rice and 1,650 vissess of cooking oil to the trainees by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein. The training course will be conducted from the 16th of August to the 15th of November with 303 trainees from all regions and states.

Similarly, the training course is also conducted at the No. 1 Basic Education High School (Kamayut) with 100 high school level principals from lower Myanmar. Union Minister Dr Nyunt Pe attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech.

Yangon Region Chief Minister also assisted 100 bags of rice and 550 vissess of cooking oil to the trainees. In the afternoon, the Union Minister and party visited Yangon University and viewed around the classrooms, pracital rooms and research works of the students at Botany and Zoological Departments.

He also met with the rector, Pro-rectors, professors, faculties and officials at the convocation hall of Yangon University and gave necessary instructions.
