






Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein on Saturday attended a discussion to increase the 2023-2024 academic year matriculation exam passing rate at the Mawlamyaing University.
In his remarks, the Chief Minister highlighted the purpose of the discussion which is to ensure that students have a good understanding of the question patterns, to sit for the exam at a high level and to increase the passing rate in Mon State.
From the 2010-2011 academic year to the 2022-2023 academic year, Mon State has been ranked the fifth for 1 time, the third for 2 times, the second for 1 time and the first for 8 times.
The Chief Minister also urged attendees to effectively use the experience, knowledge, teaching and learning methods and testing activity gain from the discussion to increase the 2023-2024 academic year matriculation exam passing rate in Mon State.
And, Rector of the Mawlamyaing University and Mon State educational officer made explanation on the discussion. After the discussion, the State educational officer received cash donation by private schools for discussions. It’s reported that 35 faculty members from the Mawlamyaing University and 1,371 teachers are participating in this 2-day discussion.
