Education Sector: Awards presented to outstanding students

Union Minister for Industry, Dr. Charlie Than attended the awarding ceremony for outstanding students of the staff who passed the matriculation exam for the 2022-2023 Academic Year.

The ceremony took place at the meeting hall of the Ministry office on Friday. In his opening speech, the Union Minister stated that the Ministry of Industry awards prizes annually to the outstanding students of the staff who passed the matriculation examination with distinctions. He emphasized that recognizing their efforts can contribute to the production of skillful generations.

The Union Minister also urged parents to nurture their children's loyalty to the country and encourage them to pursue knowledge in various industries such as technology, languages, business, and medicine. He concluded his speech by blessing the students, hoping they become skillful youths for the country's benefit.

Then, the Union Minister presented awards to 2 outstanding students who passed the matriculation examination with 6 distinctions. The Deputy Minister also presented awards to 3 outstanding students who passed with 5 distinctions. 

This was followed by the officials presenting prizes to the remaining students who passed with distinctions. During the ceremony, a student expressed words of gratitude.

In the 2022-2023 Academic Year Matriculation Examination, a total of 128 students who are children of the Ministry of Industry’s staff passed the exam, and among them, 55 students achieved distinctions.
