








The ceremony for the Kayah State Education Festival for the 2025-2026 academic year was held at the State Education Office's Pyinnya Beikman Hall in Loikaw on January 5. State Chief Minister U Sein Oo attended and delivered the opening address.
First, students from Loikaw Lawdama Basic Education High School (Branch) opened the event by performing the song "Let's All Enjoy the Education Festival Together."
Subsequently, the State Chief Minister stated that the Education Festival is an educational fair where teachers, parents, and students participate in harmony, strengthening unity and cooperation, and it can contribute to the development of the education sector. He urged all members of the education family and guardian parents to work together to nurture students and young people, not only in school subjects but also to become well-rounded, excellent, and sharp future assets for the nation's development, primarily through the education sector.
Next, the State Education Director explained the reasons for holding the Education Festival.
Following that, the State Chief Minister presented honorarium cash awards to recipients of medals in international sports competitions, national level outstanding award winner, a winner of the exemplary award from a civil service academy special training course, winners of traditional Myanmar Traditional Fine Arts Competitions, an ASEAN School Games award winner, and students selected as outstanding students. The recipients each received their awards.
Subsequently, the Commander of Regional Military Operation, State High Court Chief Justice, State Government members, and the State Education Director respectively presented honorarium cash awards to outstanding students for the 2024-2025 academic year and students who won awards in state-level English and mathematics proficiency competitions.
After that, the State Chief Minister and officials watched performances by students featuring songs, and the Director of the State Government Office presented honorarium cash awards to the students who performed with songs.
Then, the State Chief Minister and officials warmly greeted and offered words of encouragement to teachers, students, and students' parents, and toured the exhibition halls set up for the festival.
Afterwards, the State Chief Minister and officials visited the model vegetable farm of the State Agriculture Department in Naung Yar (B) ward. They inspected the cultivation conditions of kitchen crops, perennial crops, and marketable crops and gave necessary instructions to the responsible personnel.
