Education Facilities: MOE Union Minister inspects renovation works

Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe together with Deputy Minister Dr Moe Zaw Tun, Directors-General from the Ministries of Education and Construction and officials visited the Sittwe University on Sunday, and met with the Rector, Pro-rector, head of Rakhine State Education department and officials.

During the meeting, the Union Minister said repair works of the educational buildings damaged by cyclone Mocha will be undertaken in line with the priority stages in accordance with the guidance of the Prime Minister.

To open the remaining classes at the Universtiy, repair tasks are being undertaken for the classrooms and hostels for teachers and students with the cooperation of the Ministry of Construction.

He also urged to all to report the matters to be fulfilled by the Ministry as quickly as possible. He called for cooperation of all concerned persons for the students in Rakhine State to enjoy full educational opportunities. The Union Minister then fulfilled the requirements.

The Union Minister later inspected the Basic education post-primary school in Ywa Gaung Ywa Thit, No-1 Basic Education High School, No-4 BEHS, No-15 Basic Education Post-primary school in Pyitawtha Ward, No-5 Basic Education High School (Branch) and West Sanpya Basic Education primary school and fulfilled the requirements.
