Education Development: Meeting with Rectors and Education Officers

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe met with the rectors and education officers from regions and states at the Ministry on Friday.
The Union Minister said that Rectors and education officers from different sectors of Basic Education, Higher Education and Teacher Education under the Ministry are needed to implement the tasks for forming the regional supervising and working groups in cooperation with the officials from Regions/States government for the education development of private schools.
He stressed that the subjects of Myanmar language, geography and history must be taught at the Private and International Schools in line with the Private Education Law along with daily activity of saluting State Flag and singing the Naional Anthem, He added that trainings are needed to provide for capacity enhancement of the faculty members from the universities. He assured that the educated new generations could be raised only if the abilities of the teachers get improved, and all are urged to work together in unity.
Afterwards, the Deputy Ministers and attendees made a discussion on the matters of registration of private schools and opening training on the registration certificate of private shcool teachers, works to be implemented for private shcools and cooperative efforts into the work process of Basic Literacy Education.
