Economic Relations: LOI for cooperation in development projects initialed

Member of the State Administration Council General Nyo Saw, together with Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw and Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn received a delegation led by Belarusian Foreign Minister Mr. Maxim Ryzhenkov in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed matters related to signing the Letter of Intent for cooperation on development projects, prospects for economic cooperation, and investments in agriculture, livestock, dairy products, consumer goods, foodstuff, electricity, industry, automobiles, medicines, and medicinal raw materials.

They also exchanged views on organizing the Myanmar-Belarus Trade and Economic Cooperation Joint Committee Meeting and signing an MOU on cooperation in science and technology for the transfer of technologies related to investments.

After the meeting, the Letter of Intent for cooperation in development projects was initialed by the Director-General of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations and the Belarusian Director-General for Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
