Economic Recovery: 400 billion kyats separate fund to be established

400 billion kyats separate fund will be established in order to contribute for business recovery in the country, the Ministry of Planning and Finance made an announcement. The ministry announced that over 491 billion kyats balance remained from the National Disaster Management Fund as of 14th July this year.

The Union Ministries and the Region and State Government are systematically spending the expenditures for COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities with the permission of the National Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19.

At present, the country has seen the decline of COVID-19 cases, and efforts will be made for economic recovery of country. A separate fund will be established with 400 billion kyats from the balanced fund, and will make arrangements for loan imbursement to the local businesses with low interest rate in order to boost production and create job opportunities.
