Economic Promotion Fund: Interest to agriculture, livestock & manufacturing sectors

Kachin State Government held a coordination meeting to invest the 1st 6-month interest obtained from the state economic promotion fund allotment in agriculture, livestock and manufacturing sectors.

In this meeting at the state government office, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said that as the 1st 6-month interest was collected according to the relevant business sector, the interest should be used to increase the economic power of the state.

And, attendees made discussions on interest collection, financial rules and regulations, businesses monitoring, investment, acceleration of manufacturing sector and funds.

Also, the Chief Minister stressed piggery in Bamaw District and expansion of fish farming in Machanbaw Township. It’s reported that Kachin State has been using the state economic promotion fund of 8 billion Kyats for 168 projects and businesses and 23 cooperative enterprises.
