Economic Development Efforts in Lewe: Meeting with agriculture and livestock business owners

Member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, U Myint Soe held a meeting with departmental personnel and agriculture and livestock business owners in Lewe Township on September 1st.

In his speech, the Council member emphasized one of the economic objectives of the State Administration Council, which is to promote the agriculture and livestock sectors. He stated that special emphasis would be placed on increasing production to ensure local food sufficiency and create value-added products.

In Lewe Township, efforts will be made to achieve the target yield of monsoon paddy and winter oil-bearing crops by providing necessary technologies and inputs. For the livestock sector, 17 breeders were provided with loans from the State Economic Promotion Fund.

Simultaneously, initiatives are being implemented to encourage the development of MSME industries to produce and sell agriculture and livestock products.

During the meeting, concerned officials and attendees provided reports on work undertakings aimed at boosting production, expanding breeding activities, and promoting economic development, along with outlining the requirements for MSME development.

After the meeting, the Nay Pyi Taw Council member and party inspected the operation process of the Taing Kyaw Aung Rice Mill in Thawutti Village-tract and addressed the needs of local farmers.
